Throughout June, Ride New Orleans and New Orleans transit riders campaigned to make sure the #88 St. Claude/Jackson Barracks – the city’s third busiest bus route – would continue going to Canal Street when the new streetcar opens.

After several weeks of petition gathering, we received great news on July 1 – the RTA proposes to not only keep the #88 going to St. Claude, but restore Canal Street access for #15 Freret and #28 Martin Luther King riders! 

Now the RTA is gathering public input about the proposal. Please commit to attending the public hearing and voicing support for this smart proposal that will help both downtown and uptown transit riders.
