Regional Transit Briefing

Please join New Orleans Councilmember Helena Moreno and Jefferson Parish Councilwoman Cynthia Lee-Sheng for a breakfast briefing on the challenges and opportunities as we seek to improve regional transit service on Tuesday, December 11

This event is co-sponsored by Ride New Orleans – the region’s leading advocacy/education group for world-class and equitable public transit – and Greater New Orleans, Inc. Greater New Orleans Foundation CEO Andy Kopplin will moderate.

Space is limited, so RSVP today or contact Ride New Orleans Engagement Coordinator Lawrence Mason III at [email protected].

What:  Breakfast briefing and panel discussion on regional transit

When: Tuesday, December 11 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Where: Greater New Orleans Inc., 1100 Poydras St #3475

Why: The potential for better regional transit has been clearly demonstrated with the recent extension of the RTA’s #39 Tulane line to Ochsner Medical Center on Jefferson Highway. But what other opportunities do we have to build better transportation choices for the region’s workforce? Our panelists will address challenges to overcome, strategies to achieve a better regional transit system, and opportunities on the horizon to improve regional access and cooperation.

A light breakfast of muffins, pastry, fruit, and coffee/tea will be provided.
